July week 2

The hot dry weather continues...things are starting to droop. A couple of times a strange clear liquid briefly fell from the sky. I'm not sure what it was but the plants sure perked up for a couple of hours. I don't have many pics this week. We're entering the summer doldrums and I've been distracted by my burgeoning music career.

A few things I saw:
sedum,
self-heal,
and rose of Sharon.Natives included partridge pea,
Atlantic pigeonwings,
and sumac.
I didn't key out this thistle so I'm not sure if it's native or not.
Follow this link to see the rest of my shots.

Not much is thriving in our parched neck of the woods either. But at least your budding music career is blooming. Cool... but don't give up your day job too soon! :o)

Flower pics looking good even with lack of water from Mother Nature. Things sure do perk up when she gives us a drink dont they. The video was pretty humerous...
